Current Activities and Research Interests

Djamila Sam-Haroud is involved in several fundamental research and technology-transfer projects. Her research interests lie in the fields of constraint satisfaction, numerical systems, automated reasoning , knowledge-based systems, intelligent decision support and complexity. Short Biography

Djamila Sam-Haroud was born in 1964 in Lausanne, Switzerland. She graduated in 1987 from the university of Sciences and Technology (USTHB) in Algiers, Algeria, where she received the best engineer award. She worked in industry from 1988 to 1990 (SUPFLOR SA, Switzerland). In 1990 and 1995 respectively, she received her MS and PhD at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since 1996, she is a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the EPFL where she is working on several projects in the domain of constraint satisfaction.
